Produced on the rocky coasts of the municipalities of Donnas, Pont-Saint-Martin, Perloz and Bard mainly from Nebbiolo grapes. Known and appreciated for centuries with historical evidence dating back to 1200, it was the first D.O.C. of the Aosta Valley (1971). Before distrubution, it is aged for at least 12 months in large oak barrels; keeps aging optimally.

It has a ruby red color tending towards a light garnet., On the nose notes of red fruits and spices. Dry and velvety taste, with an almond finish with ageing.

Perfect match for red meat, game and mature cheeses.
